Maureen Faye–Chauhan is an  Australian contemporary jewellery artist, who lives and works in a semi-rural community just outside of the city of Melbourne, Australia

After completing her Bachelor of Applied Arts at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia in 2004, Maureen went on to complete both an honours degree in Fine art in 2005, and a Masters degree in Fine Art in 2008.

Maureen’s work has been included in multiple group exhibitions in Australia such as the 2005 and 2009 Buda Contemporary Australian Silver and Metalwork Awards, the 2006 Hobart City Art Prize, the 2005 and 2007 Toowoomba Contemporary Wearables Exhibition, the 2008 Gallery Funaki International Jewellery Award Exhibition in Melbourne, the 2009 Precious Pendants Exhibition at Object Gallery in Sydney, The 2012 touring Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, 100 Women, 100 Brooches exhibition, Artisan Gallery Brisbane, the 2013 Chained Exhibition at Gallery Bilk in Canberra, the 2013 New Editions Exhibition at Gallery Funaki, the 2013 Seems/Seams Exhibition at Mada Gallery in Melbourne and the 2014 Melbourne Now exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.

Maureen’s work has also been included in group exhibitions overseas including the inaugural 2007 Sieraad New Traditional Jewellery Award exhibition in The Netherlands, the 2008 Refined: Abundance Award exhibition in Texas, USA, and a 2009 exhibition entitled Evoking Mystery at the De Novo Gallery in California. U.S.A. Maureen’s work has also been included at several SOFA expositions in the USA where she has been represented by Charon Kransen Arts of New York. In 2010 Maureen was invited to exhibit at SCHMUCK,  the 62nd International Trade Fair in Munich, Germany, the  2010 Australian exhibition ‘By Example’ at the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Itami, Japan and the 2013 Ferrous Exhibition at Velvet Da Vinci gallery in San Francisco, USA.

In Australia, Maureen currently has work in Gallery Funaki in Melbourne, Workshop Bilk in Canberra, and at Courtesy of the Artist and Studio 20/17 Gallery in Sydney.

2015 ADFSA Award at the 2015 Contemporary Australian Silver and Metalwork Award exhibition.
